About Us
Two senior technologists. More than 50 years' combined experience across London and European insurance markets. Zero layers between strategy and delivery.
Why We Started
We didn’t leave corporate insurance because we fell out of love with the industry. We left because we still love it and were tired of watching it held back by bad technology decisions, empty consulting, and bloated delivery models that reward talk over results.
InfoBeacon was founded in late 2025 by two senior technologists who’ve spent their careers delivering real systems inside the London Market. We were at a fork in the road: go back into another senior corporate role, or build something of our own.
We chose to build.
What We’re Building
InfoBeacon starts with the two of us, but we’re not building a traditional consultancy.
Over decades in insurance technology, we’ve built relationships with exceptional specialists across the industry. We’re creating a curated network of people we’ve worked alongside, delivered with, and trust completely, brought in when their specific expertise matches your challenge.
No pools of generic consultants. No strangers assigned to your project. Just proven collaborators we know will deliver, working on problems they’re genuinely expert at solving.
Today that’s us. As we grow, it’ll be a focused team built on proven working relationships and domain expertise. Either way: if we recommend it, we’ll build it with you. You’ll know exactly who’s doing the work.
What We Believe
The insurance industry deserves better than it’s been getting. We focus on being the kind of people who actually deliver.
Insurance deserves the technology powering the rest of the digital economy: open source, modular, rapidly evolving. We believe it’s time the market embraced it.
Our approach is built on simplicity: design small, composable services, choose best-of-breed components, evolve as needs change. Technology should enable your business, not dictate it. Transformation doesn’t require enormous teams and massive budgets. That’s the model that serves the big consultancies, not you. Great technology can be delivered by small teams of exceptional people, and that’s exactly what the insurance market needs.

Our Values
The principles that guide everything we do.
Radical Honesty
We tell you what you need to hear. If your plan won't work, we'll say so. If there's a simpler solution, we'll recommend it, even if it means less work for us.
Delivery Over Talk
We're practitioners first. We design systems and then we build them. No handoffs to offshore teams or graduate trainees.
Fit Over Fashion
The right answer is usually simpler than people think. We don't chase trends, we pick the technology that fits the problem.
Open Source First
Modern, scalable, vendor-neutral technology. We replace six-figure license renewals with open source wherever it makes sense.
Insurance Market Expertise
Our roots are in the London Market, but our work spans Europe. We've built systems at Lloyd's syndicates, global carriers, MGUs, and brokers. We understand the regulatory environment, the operational complexity, and the specific challenges of insurance technology.
Recent Work
A small sample of projects we've recently delivered
Scandinavian MGU
Built a modern analytics platform using Apache Iceberg, Trino, DBT & Metabase; this replacing an underperforming and expensive commercial BI stack. Full data warehouse, self-service reporting, and near real-time operational dashboards.
Scandinavian MGU
Implemented an open-source, service driven architecture and API gateway. Work ongoing to develop a suite of shared and scalable centralised microservices to deliver core insurance functionalities
London Market Carrier
Designed and delivered an enterprise data warehouse using Data Vault methodology on Snowflake. AtScale provided the OLAP semantic layer for business users, while AWS Lambda functions and Step Functions state machines handled end-to-end orchestration of data pipelines.
